CCAPH | Competence Center for Advanced Public Health
This Competence Center deals with topics of the efficient and effective design of health care systems as well as of the regional, national, and international health care at the macro level. Furthermore, we conduct economic analyses regarding improvement potentials of health care organizations at the micro level and of the value chain regarding the health care’s strategic infrastructure together with their depending other critical infrastructure. Another key topic comprises the assessment of prevention measures and health care technologies.
We examine all questions of concepts and projects both at the strategic, tactical, and operational level including all key stakeholders, economic sectors, and important environmental conditions. In particular, one has to especially account for ethical and legal conditions. We aim at anticipating critical trends in advance and consider them in our calculated prognoses. Hereby, we incorporate scarce resources and budgets in uncertain and continuously changing environments such as economic crises, terror attacks, ecological disasters, and epidemics/pandemics. We build upon adequate quantitative and qualitative research methods to provide optimal decision support for policy makers to select/apply suitable strategies/scenarios. Thereby, management games play a central role.
We closely collaborate with organizations and research institutions at the national and international level who deal with similar topics. For us, it is of special interest to impart knowledge by professional trainings as well as by dissemination at scientific conferences and media including political consulting.
